Teachers Music, Social Media Content Creation
In 2016, I was asked by their [then] manager to create social media content for New York-based band, Teachers.
I was given full creative control of this project, so I decided to listen to their music and take the liberty to play with style. It was the perfect marriage of exploration and art-making because their music suited the ideas I had for the photos I was sent.
Most of my inspiration came from their songs "Ocean" and "Mannequin in Heat."
I played with color, lines, shapes, textures, and depth with this project.
While using imagery that correlated to the themes of the songs, I wanted to share the otherworldly aspects of the music the band made. Teachers creates multi-faceted dance music that feels like it takes place across different worlds.
